Everyone loves being recognized.  Businesses recognize employees for several reasons, to congratulate them on an achievement, to celebrate an anniversary, to welcome them to the organization, a.k.a. onboarding. Businesses recognize their customers because without them, the business does not exist, thrive or grow.  Businesses also recognize vendors for contributing to their business model. It’s a tact that is integral to the continued outcome that both sides desire which is a profitable and rewarding professional relationship.  One recognition intertwined in the many days and weeks we spend working and interacting with one another feeds a healthy rapport.   Recognition gifts do not need to be done frequently but do need regularity, purpose and intent.  It does not have to be a great expense, but be meaningful.  It will never replace or make better the necessities that the business, customer, vendor and employee are required to do in the first place, but it’s an essential business practice to express gratitude and the desire to continue a relationship. Lastly, it should be fun and enjoyable for everyone!
